About Us

The Canadian Timing Association, Inc. is a Timing & Scoring group for motorsports events. We are staffed by a dedicated group of racing enthusiasts. We perform Timing & Scoring functions for many regional, national, and international racing events held in Ontario, Canada.

CTA is the ONLY ASN Canada FIA affiliated Timing & Scoring group in Canada. We time at such events as the Steelback Grand Prix of Toronto (Formerly Molson Grand Prix of Toronto, Molson Indy Toronto), the American Le Mans Series Grand Prix of Mosport, and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Father's Day 200.

Our Timing & Scoring Systems make use of state of the art transponder technology from AMB-i.t. These systems are used at such races as the 24 hours of LeMans, NASCAR, and Champ Car events.

Our members enjoy free admission to the race weekends at which they're working, free food and drinks, an extravagant year-end banquet, and much more!

In our facility at our home track, Mosport International Raceway, just north of Bowmanville, Ontario, we are networked with Race Control, Course Stewards, and the Media Room. This allows us to provide them with live results for the session currently on-track.

We always welcome new members aged 12 and up. Parents, please note that you must accompany your child to the track to sign release waivers for each event.
